Never tried it? Well, it’s pretty rad. I show how to make oven bacon on my stories all the time and then I realized it needed to be written down somewhere so you all can refer to the temperature/cook time! I’m certainly not the inventor of oven bacon, so it seems silly to make it a blog post. In fact, my lovely MOther in law taught me this hack, but it’s there now anyway so that y’all can *never forget* the ole oven bacon trick that will change your bacon loving life. The most important part of the trick? Putting it into a COLD oven. Why? It’s important for it to cook slowly so it cooks more evenly and doesnt curl. Other than that, the bacon comes out crispy and perfect and the clean up is SO easy! The “recipe” is on the blog (LOL) but I’ll also share it below. You can reference either one you little bacon lover you! Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Line up bacon (I prefer @applegate no sugar bacon) in a single layer, without overlapping. Place bacon in an un-preheated, COLD oven. Once your bacon is in the oven set your oven to 375 degrees F. Cook bacon until it is cooked to desired doneness, *20 to 30 minutes. The time starts right when you place it in the oven (not after it's preheated) and no need to flip! (*Cook time depends on how thick your bacon is. Mine is typically perfectly cooked at 30 minutes on the dot, but with thinner bacon i pull it around 25 minutes). Transfer bacon to a paper towel lined plate to drain off excess fat. Enjoy!
