A festive twist on the classic espresso martini, this recipe swaps vodka for tequila and adds Cointreau for a citrus hit. Garnished with shaved chocolate and orange zest, it's a delicious cocktail perfect for holiday guests.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the Cointreau, tequila, coffee liqueur, simple syrup, and hot espresso. Fill with ice. Close, seal, and shake until very cold (at least 20 seconds). Place a strainer on top of the shaker and pour the contents through a sieve (optional) directly into two glasses. Make sure to get the foam that is usually at the bottom of your shaker! Top with shaved chocolate and orange zest as desired.
